Vegas Round 3: Family Adventures, Scenic Views & Priceless Memories

My third trip to Las Vegas did not disappoint — in fact, it might be my favorite one yet. This time, I wasn’t just traveling with my usual sidekick (my daughter, who’s always down for an adventure). We brought the whole crew: my boyfriend, my son-in-law, and my cousins. The occasion? A surprise birthday celebration for my cousin, planned by his wife. Vegas was the perfect spot to celebrate! 🎉

Flying Out & Airport Vibes

We flew Delta, and one of my guilty pleasures when traveling is airport food. There’s just something fun about grabbing a bite before takeoff. Me and my boyfriend started with Dunkin’ while my daughter and son-in-law grabbed their breakfast nearby. Normally, I’m the one glued to the window seat. This time, I let my boyfriend have it since he treated us to the trip. 💙

Hotel Check-In & That Hidden Fee Surprise

We stayed at the Signature Suites. It came with a gorgeous balcony view of the Strip. There was also a giant glowing Sphere that changes colors at night. The room itself was beautiful, but here’s a heads-up for future Vegas travelers: don’t forget about hotel deposits. They don’t exactly shout it out in the booking, and it definitely caught us off guard. Pro tip: always budget for it ahead of time.

The suite was great overall. I’ll be honest those jacuzzi tubs need a little extra love when it comes to cleaning. Just keeping it real!

Vegas Dining: Good, But Pricey

Vegas is known for its food scene, but let me tell you it’s not cheap. The meals are tasty, but even breakfast can feel like a dinner bill. My advice? Plan ahead, budget for meals, or balance it out with a quick grocery run.

Hoover Dam Tour: Nature at Its Best

One of the highlights was our trip to the Hoover Dam. The drive there was stunning miles of desert roads with mountain views that took my breath away. I’d been to Vegas twice before. Yet, this was my first time seeing the mountains up close. It was unforgettable.

We stopped at colorful rock formations for photos before reaching the Dam. Seeing the water line and how far it’s dropped was eye-opening. We took plenty of photos, walked around, and soaked it all in.

Of course, no adventure is finished without a twist our tour van broke down on the way. The company handled it quickly, and while we waited, they even treated us to Starbucks. I grabbed a frozen hazelnut coffee. A danish kept my mood up before we hit the road again.

ATV Fun in the Desert

If you’re looking for adrenaline, I highly recommend an ATV tour in the Vegas desert. It was hot, it was dusty, but it was SO much fun. Each of us got our own ATV, plus helmets, face covers, and plenty of water. The mountain backdrop made it even more special, and it’s the kind of experience you won’t forget.

Traditions & Extra Fun on the Strip

Me and my daughter kept up one of our Vegas traditions grabbing a meal at Nelly’s Restaurant. We spent time exploring the Strip with my cousins. We rode the monorail for epic views. We enjoyed just being together in the Vegas energy.

Final Thoughts

Three trips in and Vegas still manages to surprise me. The Signature Suites, the Hoover Dam, and ATV rides were amazing. All the food was expensive, but worth it. This trip gave me memories I’ll never forget.

Before you plan your own Vegas getaway, remember:

✨ Budget for hotel deposits.

✨ Expect higher food costs.

✨ Don’t miss out on tours they’re worth every penny.

Vegas keeps proving why it’s a top destination, and I’m already excited for round four. Stay tuned for the next adventure!
